Snooker Training On How To Play Snooker

Invented in the 1870's, Snooker is a billiards game played on a felt-covered table measuring about 12-feet
long and 6-feet wide with 6 pockets (a pocket in each of the four corners and 2 pockets halfway along the
the side of the table), cue sticks, and a set of colored balls.

How To Play Snooker?

  1. The Proper Equipment-15 red balls, 1 blue ball, 1 yellow ball, 1 green ball, 1 brown ball, 1 pink ball, 1 black ball, and a cue ball (white ball)
  2. Point Value-Red balls=1 point, yellow ball=2 points, green ball=3 points, brown ball=4 points, blue ball=5 points, pink ball=6 points, black ball=7 points.
  3. The goal is to get a high number of points by potting the balls into the table's pockets.
  4. Determine who will play first-The first player have to make contact with a red ball, if that player doesn't, then its the other player turn to try.
  5. The first player to make the cue ball hit a red ball will continue to play by potting and/or touching a colored ball then a red ball constantly, until he/she fails. Then the next player have to hit a colored ball then a red ball constantly, until he/she fails.
  6. Continue that sequence as long as there are red balls on table. (If red balls are still on the table, then the potted colored balls return to there original position on the table)
  7. Hit the lowest point ball to the highest point ball (in order) after all the red balls have been potted. (After all the red balls have been potted, the colored balls no longer get put back in its original spots)
  8. The game is over when there is no longer any balls left-The winner is the player with the highest score.
And that is how to play snooker. Now if you want to take your snooker skills up a level, then click on Snooker Training to learn how you can get some professional training from a professional snooker.
